Plymouth Argyle have received an allocation of 2,000 tickets for their opening game of the 2021/22 League One campaign, away to Rotherham United.
It will be played at the 12,000-capacity New York Stadium on Saturday, August 7 and will be the first match on the road that the Green Army will have been able to attend for 525 days.
Not since a 2-1 League Two defeat at Bradford City on February 29, 2020 have the Pilgrims been cheered on by their own fans at an away game.
Argyle’s allocation for the trip to Rotherham has gone on sale to season ticket holders only at this point.
The match will be all ticket and seating for the Green Army in the Mears South Stand will cost £23 for adults, £13 for over-60s, 18 to 21-year-olds and serving members of the Armed Forces and £8 for 13 to 17-year-olds.
Admission for 12 years and unders is £6, as long as they are accompanied by an 18 to 21-year-old or above.
Flexi, 1886 and Big Green Lottery members can purchase their tickets for this game from 9.30am on Monday, August 2 and any remaining will go on general sale from 9.30am on Tuesday, August 3.
Rotherham, who were relegated from the Championship last season, include former Argyle top scorer Freddie Ladapo in their squad.
Argyle only received their ticket allocation from Rotherham on Wednesday, which is the reason for what they have described as the ‘condensed sale period for supporters’.
Tickets can be purchased from argyletickets.com, by calling 01752 907700, or by visiting the Home Park Ticket Office during the opening hours of 9am-3pm.
