Devon’s best takeaway pies

Whether it’s steak and ale, chicken and mushroom or leek and potato, there’s nothing better than eating a hearty pie on a cold winter’s day.

Now there’s an entire day dedicated to them!

Part of the beauty of pies is you can fill them with pretty much anything you want! From meat, vegetables, cheeses and even some sweet treats if you’re not a fan of savoury food.

Devon has some incredible restaurants and cafes that are staying open throughout the lockdown offering takeaway and delivery to their customers, but what about places that are solely dedicated to pies?

Here is a list of places across the county that you can buy a pie from this weekend to celebrate the national day.

Available for click and collect or delivery, Pieminister is making sure the residents of Exeter get their delicious pies.

With an extensive menu, there is plenty to choose from to take part in the National Day.

They even are offering you the chance to make one of your favourite pies at home with their ‘at-home kits’ which you can see here.

Passion For Pie Limited- Newton Abbot

These award-winning pies are still delivering and offering take out to those with the TQ,PL and EX postcode.

All people have to do it order the day before between 6:30pm- 8:30pm on Friday & Saturday and then between 1pm-3pm Sunday.

Pie Street- Totnes

Pie Street, Totnes

These delicious pie restaurant is still offering collection or delivering straight to your door in Totnes after 4:30pm.

They’re open from 12pm every Tuesday to Sunday and will even drop off your pie free of charge if you live in the local area.

Taking part in veganuary and craving a delicious pie but don’t want to break your pledge? Pie Street offer vegan and gluten-free pies on their menu!

Trevisicks Pie Emporium are staying open throughout lockdown to keep bringing you their incredible pies.

They’re offering a click and collect service or can deliver their food to you if you live local.

You can get free delivery (with a £10 minimum order) if you live in Barnstaple, Bideford & Northam areas and now South Molton.

With family recipes spanning over 30 years it’s no surprise The Coppa Dolla Inn’s pies are incredible.

On Saturday’s their collection times are 2pm – 4pm, however, they also offer collection on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

You can even add some extras and a mouth-watering dessert to your order to treat yourself!
