Drug arrest made after motorist pulled over for bald tyres

A motorist in Devon had what could probably be described as a bad 10 minutes which ended with him being arrested for drug offences.

Devon and Cornwall Police’s No Excuse team – which is dedicated to road safety – tweeted at around 10.15pm last night (March 31) that they had pulled over a driver in Exeter.

Their initial reason for stopping the motorist was down to a bald tyre on the vehicle.

However, proceedings appeared to deteriorate for the driver after police pulled him over, with the social media post explaining that the person was eventually arrested for drug offences after cocaine was found on him.
