Dying woman’s heartbreaking search for long-lost sister in Devon

A dying woman is hoping to track down her sister who is believed to be in Devon before she passes away.

Susan Grant, who is battling cancer, has just “days to live” and has made it her last wish to be reunited with her younger sister to “know she is ok” before it is too late.

The 80-year-old from Glasgow has not seen her sister for at least 30 years and knew she had moved to Australia, before returning to Devon.

Susan’s sister cannot be named or pictured due to data protection laws, but the family hope that she will see the appeal by sharing a picture of her older sister and get in contact.

Acquaintances of the sisters believe that she is living in the Exmouth area.

Susan’s daughter, Tracy, is helping with the search and is urging her auntie to get in touch.

She said: “My mum is looking for her younger sister. My mum is currently at end of life and has a few days to live.

“They’ve not been in touch for many years, she moved to Australia, but we’ve heard she is back in Devon.

“My mum just wants to know she is OK before she goes.”

Susan’s sister, who is around 16 years younger than her, is asked to get in touch with DevonLive to be put in contact with Susan.
