DEVCON Sci-fi, Toy, Film and Comic Fair. Fun for all!
We’re super excited to bring everyone another brilliant and fun packed day, that appeals to sci-fi fans and all the family alike!

In-keeping with our core ethos, creating smiles and making a difference’, we will be helping to raise funds for ‘Young Minds Trust’.

The event boasts film and tv actors, namely Sylvester McCoy, Katy Manning and Paul Jerricho, all of ‘Doctor Who’ fame, as well as ‘The Hobbit’, ‘Star Wars’, ‘Space 1999’ and so much more! There’s an opportunity to have your picture taken alongside and chat to our guest stars, as well as purchase a signed autograph! All our guest actors are super keen to share their many tales of working in the industry with our Devcon Plymouth visitors.

This is our first event of the year and as such it will have a ‘Superhero/heroine’ theme, open to all ages and though definitely not a must, we encourage you to don your favourite children’s book costume, film or comic character and join in the many fun activities, taking place, in our dedicated Cosplay Zone on the 1st Floor. Great prizes to be Won!
Children and adults can test their skills, in our dedicated ‘Gaming Zone’, which offers Tabletop gaming for all ages and abilities. Throughout the day, there will be lots of Gaming Tournaments that can be pre-booked through Dark Star Gaming, such as Pokémon, Dragonball Z and Warhammer, to name but a few, with £100’s worth of prizes to be won!
Our younger visitors, can simply enjoy, the less competitive board games and activities and come along and meet Olaf our giant friendly Dragon and take part in Wizardry magic, spell making and crafting and join in the Treasure Hunt, there’s a treat for all who compete.

Visitors can meet our ‘Star Wars Troopers’, Darth Vader and Chewbacca, as well as 2 Doctor Who daleks! Step into our world of fantasy and capture lots of memories to treasure, with one of our esteemed actors or against one of our many movie props and back drops.

Over 70 Trader Stalls, selling Comics Galore, Toys, Toys and more Toys, exclusive collectibles, plus all the high street favourites. We’ll have, published authors and writers, as well as hugely talented artists, selling one off commissions, 3D works and prints. There’s lots of Lego, jewellery, steam punk, anime and kawaii accessories of all sorts, plus lots more.

There’ll be question and answer sessions and workshops, offering expert advice, guidance and know how.
