Firefighters rescue teenager stuck in Devonport Park swing

Firefighters had to get into the swing of things this evening (April 8) after being called out when someone got stuck in a playground

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service crews were sent to Devonport Park in Millbridge after receiving reports of a teenage girl being stuck in a swing.

Two members of the crew were filmed helping the girl who had to be cut free from the children’s swing.

She can be seen sitting on the ground whilst firefighters use their head torches in order to help the girl whilst two other people are standing close by.

It is unknown how long the girl was stuck in the swing however she has now been released.

A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire Control said: “We have been there and released someone from a swing”

“She is now out.”
