Midfielder Panutche Camara has become the latest addition to Ryan Lowe’s Plymouth Argyle squad.
The 23-year-old has spent the last three seasons with Crawley Town and is viewed as an ‘exciting prospect’ by Lowe.
Camara was at Home Park today to complete the formalities of his move to Argyle.
He becomes Lowe’s fourth summer signing, after goalkeeper Luke McCormick as well as strikers Ryan Hardie and Frank Nouble.
Argyle have not disclosed the length of contract signed by their latest recruit, who will wear the number 28 shirt.
Camara is not expected to play in the behind-closed-doors pre-season game against Plymouth Parkway at Home Park tomorrow.
That is while he awaits the result of a COVID-19 test that he had today.
Camara was offered a new contract by Crawley so, as he has opted to sign for Argyle instead and is aged under 24, a compensation agreement will have had to be reached between the clubs.
Even after the arrival of Camara, Plymouth Live understands that Lowe is still in the market for another midfielder.
That follows the summer departure of Argyle’s 2019/20 player-of-the-year Antoni Sarcevic.
Camara was the player that Lowe referred to when he told the media on Thursday morning that a midfielder had ‘agreed a deal’ with Argyle.
Crawley announced on social media late on Thursday night that Camara would be leaving them.
Born in west African country of Guinea Bissau, he signed for the west Sussex club from non-League Dulwich Hamlet in June 2017.
Camara went on to make a total of 85 starts and 33 substitute appearances for Crawley over the next three seasons.

He played for Town in their 2-2 draw against Argyle in League Two at the Broadfield Stadium last September.
However, Camara was not in the return match for another 2-2 draw at Home Park in January.
