Police investigating an incident in North Devon which has left a road blocked have given an update on the situation.
A photograph from the scene shows police cars and an ambulance in attendance and members of the public are being advised to avoid the area.
In the latest update, police say two men in their 30s were taken to hospital following the incident with what have been described as “serious injuries”.
A 40-year-old man from Barnstaple was arrested at the scene and is in custody.

The statement from the force said: “Police were called to Bear Street, Barnstaple, at around 4.20pm on Monday 26 October following reports of a disorder involving three people.
“Two men, both aged in their 30s, have been taken to hospital with serious injuries. Their conditions are not currently known.
“A 40-year-old man from Barnstaple was arrested at the scene and he remains in police custody.
“Police are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
“A police cordon is in place at the scene and enquiries are ongoing. Members of the public are asked to avoid the area at this time.”
