A Plymouth man has been charged with dangerous driving and other offences after a late-night crash in the city. Photos showed an apparent collision between a police car and another vehicle on Saturday (May 24).
Witnesses said they saw eight or nine police cars respond to the scene. It took place on Melville Road just before midnight.
One witness heard sirens outside his door and saw two badly damaged vehicles. Devon and Cornwall Police have now released a statement.
It says: “Aarron Hancock, 28, from Creedy Road, Plymouth, has been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop when required to by police, driving whilst disqualified, using a motor vehicle without third party insurance and burglary other than dwelling, following an alleged incident in Wolseley Road and then Melville Road in Plymouth at around 11.45pm on Saturday 24 May.”

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 27 May.
