A man has been arrested following a large emergency service response in a Plymouth street over the weekend. Emergency vehicles from fire, ambulance and police were seen on Longstone Avenue, Plymouth on Saturday (November 25).
An altercation broke out at around 8.30pm on Saturday, which police attended. A man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle while unfit and on suspicion of possessing a class C drug.
Also in the street, at a different address, emergency services were called to a report of a concern for welfare for two people. Emergency services attended and found it was not as reported, with all those present safe and well.

A spokesperson for the force has said: “Police were called to a report of an altercation at a property in Longstone Avenue, Plymouth at around 8.30pm on Saturday 25 November. Officers attended.
“A man in his 50s from Plymouth has been arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle while unfit through drugs and on suspicion of possessing a class C controlled drug. He has been released on bail until Saturday 24 February 2024, pending further enquiries.”
They also added: “Police were called to a report of a concern for welfare for two people at a property in Longstone Avenue, Plymouth at around 3pm on Sunday 27 November.
“Emergency services attended and found it was not as reported, with all those present safe and well. The call to police was made in good faith.”
